Well, we are married! We are having the best time being husband and wife.  Our
wedding was perfect.  Every detail was better than I could have imagined or planned for the past 12+ years...
Here are some special details that I'll share- and post on Pinterest, of course.

My bouquet was wrapped in lace from my mothers wedding dress and pinned with broaches that belonged to my mom, aunt, and both grandmothers.  It was very heavy... but very beautiful and special.

We practiced our "kiss" and it was never successful.  The one at the alter was perfect.  Someone told us to count to 3 so the photographer could get a picture.  It worked! The best part is his big sister grinning in the background.

Our matches that were on bundled sparklers for our exit from the reception.  Ordered online... I can't remember what website.

Probably the most beautiful group of girls you have ever seen- and the most fun.  I love them.  We had the best time throughout my engagement and wedding at showers, parties and sleepovers... they even put up with my weekly e-mails and updates.  I love y'all.
Black bridesmaid dresses by Dessy.
Braided pearl necklaces.

My grandmothers ring and my grooms hand.

My beautiful friends in their monogrammed men's dress shirts for getting ready.

My wedding shoes with a sixpence for good luck.

Something old: My engagement ring- the diamond belonged to my Neenee.
Something new: My amazing dress.
Something borrowed: The ring on my right hand, belonging to my other grandmother.
Something blue: My grandmother's wedding garter.

Our baby pictures were on the bathroom doors at the reception.

I wore my mom's wedding dress for rehearsal and rehearsal dinner- Cut off the sleeves and lots of length. My bridesmaids carried bouquets with bows from all of my bridal showers.  They were attached to a pack of sweethearts and a note that said, "You are a sweetheart."

We had a slumber party the night before and wore matching pajamas and got massages in our hotel.  It was the best night with my closest friends before my wedding day.  We didn't go to sleep until 4am!!

Our guestbook from the rehearsal dinner... Everyone put a thumbprint for a leaf and signed their name on our painted canvas.  Such a neat keepsake.

Our dating timeline at the reception... Yes, I kept up with every detail from the very beginning.

I changed from my cathedral length veil to some Pippa inspired baby's breath in my hair for the reception.

There's so much more y'all... but that's all my time for now.  Stay posted for more wedding details + honeymoon and house.

Love,
The brand-newlyweds

7 days y'all!

I am posting from my new iPhone... Which I love by the way.

I'm getting married one week from today!

Here are some house updates:
Our Mandy painting came in. Completes the whole look. Love it!!

I painted this American flag on a piece of plywood copying the original from Pottery Barn. It is hanging on the wall in our guest "Ole Miss" bedroom.

Today is my birthday. I'm 24.
I'm getting married in 16 days! (and moving into our new home!!)

I've made some progress on the master bedroom-
Next step: Curtains and more pillows

The light fixtures are from Macy's- I've got to do something to cover the cords... but I LOVE these!

This was my project last weekend: Ruffled burlap bedside table skirt

And the bathroom mirrors came in!

Same one in the guest bath, but it hangs vertical.

My plants are blooming, too!  Well, some of them.  Others have not survived without me there to water them everyday.  I plan on redoing my flower beds once we get settled and I just had a window box hung outside of my kitchen window so I can't wait to work on that...

Before and now

May 26, 2012 is going to bring along some significant changes.  All of them are great and I believe they are all in God's timing... for everything there is a season.  Some are a bit emotional, but normal emotions.  Among these, one thing I'm excited about it moving back to Hattiesburg!  We will be living in the Oak Grove area and we actually have a Purvis address... but I can't wait to call our precious new house, home.  We worked hard for it, and it is ours.  Everything that is in there was given to us by our amazing family and friends- including our bed, washer and dryer--- even down to the garbage bags.  It holds an overwhelming feeling of love, comfort, peace, pride and home.

I'm so proud of it... Here are some photo's including some completed projects from previous posts.

Only 46 days now!

Back door... I planted those plants and theyve already grown!! I added the pinestraw, too.  Love the look of fresh pine straw.

Kitchen table with some of our Peter's dishes.  I'm mixing the white, jade green, and brown.  I love Peter's Pottery!  Bradley even loves it all now after I explained it's from Mississippi.  The silver was my NeeNee's.

The only request Bradley was for our house was a bookcase.  He has given me so much freedom and likes my taste so I'm thankful for that!  I modgepodged the sides with Mississippi maps and then went over it with wood stain... Painted the back drop red, and stained the front.  Love.
Remember this piece?

Thats all for now...

I'm not the best blogger in the world.  I want to get better.
Since our last post, we have officially become homeowners!
Our wedding is only 82 days away.
Wedding website: http://turnerandmcdaniel.ourwedding.com/
It's March now and we have 5 wedding parties/showers this month!!

Amanda Robinson took our engagement photo's last weekend--- Here's a sneak:
(I played around with the color a bit)

Hopefully I will have the rest of them this week!
Bradley was wonderful during our photo shoot... I overly accused him of being uptight but he was very cooperative despite missing an Ole Miss baseball game on the radio and his Sunday afternoon nap.

I have been so busy with wedding planning, work, school, and house projects.

Here's some of what I've been doing...

My future mother-in-law found this table with 4 chairs for a steal at the flea market in Columbia.

Here it is before... with markers and paint all over the top.
I sanded the top and stained it and it went back to its original condition.
Then I used this crackle paint from Lowe's for the base.

I am CRAZY about the finished product!!

This also happened this weekend...

Right when you walk in the front door- Welcome to our home!

I attended my first ever estale sale this week.  It certainly will not be the last.
Photo's of those purchases and other projects will come soon.

One night I bid on 6 pieces of old luggage on ebay and "accidentally" won 5 of them.  (I talked one seller into retracting my bid.)  I was able to get a decent deal on these bags because three of them came from the same seller and she combined shipping.  They will be stacked and used as an end table at our house!  This idea came from a decorator friend and Pinterest, of course!

Now for my purchases that I am so proud of!
Antique door made into a coffee table. Purchased from my dear friend, Nicole.
(The weight on the top--- because I'm determined to have muscles in my arms for my wedding)

Nicole made this chair out of old ties and I'm so happy to have it now!!

and finally, for now...

Antique Saloon Doors from Texas that I purchased downtown Ellisville:
(They just so happen to match the chest of drawers perfectly!!!!)

Even though they are much more narrow than a king size bed, I plan on using these for a headboard... Maybe adding a single shelf to each side...
